hello all.. its been ages since i’ve posted anything here. if i look at the archives on my blog i wonder how i would find time to post so many things same time last year…
a series of things have happened..
this year began with a real exciting chapter in my life.. which seems to have ended even before it could establish its importance. well dont get confused… may be ill try to explain that some time later in a seperate post.
this week i accidently spilled water on my office laptop and next, it refused to start. i was shitty scared. after keeping it off for about 2 hours luckily it regained its senses… well a BIG sigh! but there seems to be some irritating problem with it.. seems like its picked up some bad habit from some of the other laptops on the client network it connects to the network but after about 10-15 mins it drops the connection with the only solution being reboot.. and if you can then imagine rebooting after every 15 mins … PAIN.. yes.. indeed.. hope the helpdesk are able to mend the laptop.
also mom gone on some educational trip to nepal.. didn’t speak to her before she left… my sis seems to be getting bored at home.. she scrapped the other day saying everybody is in different country.. i want to go to france to see all the monuments i learnt in my french text books.. send me tickets now.. lolzzzz.. :) that was cute
IPL goin on: there was a time when i was crazy for cricket.. it was more than just a game.. things have changed so much. it no longer seems to interest me. some of my old friends would be shocked if i tell them i am not following this year’s IPL. haha..
And yipee… shona finally got married.. she just uploaded her snaps.. m so happy for her.. the first one to get married in our so called ghat-dost-friend-circle.. .. lets see whats in store for all of us..

i would be very late to blog on this topic right now but i just thought i paste in some of my thoughts and feelings that i have been going through for quite some time now. the first month when i moved to my new client office here i heard a chunk of employees were layed off.. the stress and insecure feeling was so evident on the faces of my clients.. that was the time i felt the pinch of the news that had been in air for so long and i never bothered to look at seriously.. so many layoffs ever since then and the number has been only increasing.. i only keep wondering where would all these people go? what would they do now for their living? ..
makes me feel so bad..
my room mate just updated me that half a million people have been layed off in the month of jan alone.. dont know the source of information but doesn’t seem to be a hoax news to me either… have been hearing only about layoffs these days… everyone is on a recession.. life is a recession..!
some say this will last for another 3 years.. some say things will be in good shape again.. everyone has a story to tell… i just hope things get back to normal for all of us..
PS: the other day i got a forward-mail which had a snapshot of a post from a matrimonial site: It read.. looking for a bridegroom-software professionals please excuse.. ghor kalyug!

many of you must be frustrated with the spam emails that flood your inbox..
i logged into my inbox to find an email which said ‘your perfect life partner is waiting for you…’ from what seemed to be a matrimonial site.. i had a hearty laugh!
i have also seen many people getting carried away by emails like Bill Gates is planning to share all his property with you if you forward this mail to 20 people.. gosh..can’t imagine how big the hierarchy (mail chain) must have grown by now.. and how many people must have become rich overnight by forwarding such email.. lol.. :P
another series of such stupid emails - you have won a free laptop/ipod and what not… and guess why? they said you are the lucky 1000000th visitor.. lol again .. no matter how many times you visit that site .. no matter from which system you visit, you will be the luckiest 1000000th visitor to get that prize.. man.. hats off to the creators of the site for identifying you wherever you may go..
there are few emails that are directly sent to my spam folder .. thanks to the service provider for taking the ‘pains’ to filter them.

how many of u are not dependent on google search engine? i say ‘not’ because i know that would be a finite number perhaps those who are not internet-savy or not e-literalte.
well today while i was looking into a task at office, a thought sprouted in my mind that made me resign from the i-am-a-good-programmer feeling that i always lived with… not increasing the curiosity furthur lemme unveil .. i was simply wondering … what if…. one not-so-fine-day…. google search engine stops working .. forever!

answer to that is :: use other search engines.. lol.. that was a bad medicine i accept..

Got my lower wisdom tooth extracted today.. it was damaged and had a very big hole in it.. root canal was something i didn’t want to give a shot and according to my understanding that process would lead to further complications… it was damaged to the core anyways.. i guess i should have carried it along as a remembrance
folks it was painful.. its hurting now…
when the dentist kept it on the sheet i was looking at it.. and thougt to myself .. 31 only now
but some things u cannot help.. waiting for it to heal now.

Morning journey to office was a pathetic one.. it had been raining so much and it took me 2 hours to reach office with trains getting delayed and the office shuttle uncle not showing up on the station to pick me up..
i was all frsutrated waiting on the station for over 45 mins.. but the day was done when i saw ma first snowfall here.. hehe
that was awesome!!!!
PS: its getting colder day by day m missing home today.. dunno why
i woke up today morning.. saw the time.. shit.. it was 7:10 and my hotel cab was to leave to station at 7:30.. 20 mins and so much to do.. 2 mins it took to decide if shoud try to make it or not.
