Annoying commercials: Have you ever felt like blowing off your television when you are watching some important intense scene of one of your favorite tv serial and its paused to give you a tour of some stupid tv commercial? (which at that point of time is irrelevant to you?) At times these commercials are such a pain in the neck, repeating the same thing over and over again.. I mean like for instance I was watching some tv show and after certain intervals this stupid Mozy online backup commercial kept popping up. Well enough of it now! I get it, Mozy is offering a backup service just in case something falls from the tower of Paris on my laptop.
I don’t really understand the whole point. Why don’t people be specific and why do we like need long running commercials to explain this. Why don’t they just concentrate on the damn product’s features alone instead of including all celebrities and their never ending conversations trying to tell us how other products are bad.
And at the end of all that CRAP, all that matters is -
Nike: blah.. blah.. blah.. blah.. Just Do It!
Mc Donalds: blah.. blah.. blah.. blah.. I am loving it!
Just tell us what it does and possibly, it’s side effects.. Trust me.. thats ALL that we wanna know! (at least from an interrupting commercial)

New phone: Bought a new Nokia 5800 Express smartphone today and I plan to gift this to my brother on his birthday which is a month away. Looks decent. Havn’t explored it completely as yet. Few reviews said it was a competitor for iPhone. Well personally I do not think so. It is decent enough by itself though.

Last night I found some of my old DVDs that I had apparently burnt close to one and half year ago and guess what it had?? my songs collection – Metallica, SOAD, Rasmus and so on.. and the next moment all that goes into ma ipod. 6 months of jail for using cell while driving: the ministry of India is planning to introduce a new sub section under 183A in Motor Vehicle Act which would fine those found using cell phone while driving; which would mean a penalty of Rs. 2000 and/or 6 months of jail. Now this looks like some strict regulation. I wonder how useful it will be though. You know what I mean?

I’ve been watching this TV serial Angel for last couple of days.. and have kind of got hooked to it. frankly speaking i have never been an angels and daemons fan.. a little bit of fiction or supernatural stuff and i am a big NO-NO to it..
Surprisingly last few months my interests have changed. I’ve been like preferring stuff that include.. magic, super- natural powers, scienctific fictions.. lolzz.. i never approved harry potter till date too.. i always wondered how people watch that stuff.. but i wouldn’t be surprized if i finish watching the HP series sometime soon.. .. must be the direction of these episodes that make them interesting.. or screenplay.. or whatever.. dunno the technical jargons involved with the industry..

helo folks.. it has been only a couple of days since the news about Dr Abdul Kalam (former president of India) being frisked on the Delhi International airport before his travel to the US, has been in air and there we have another similar incident – SRK being frisked.
Before i pen down what i feel about these 2 incidents first let me confess.. until i read that Dr Abdul Kalam was frisked, I never knew we had something like a special privilege pass at the airports where the VIPs or VVIPs are not checked at security gates. Well when i read the news for the first time.. i was like whats the big deal.. so what if he was the President? Law is a Law – for everyone. Why the hell is everyone creating such a big issue out of it?? Aren’t they blowing things out of proportion… But then on giving this entire episode a second thought i tried to think of this from another perspective.
Well if celebs from the US (or as a matter of fact any country), when they come to India are not supposed to be checked at the airport and they can pass the security check then theoretically they should give the same treatment to other celebs/VIPs from other countries. Now this is what made me say.. ‘Yeah.. what happened was no good’.
And once again, SRK when he was in the US, from what i read in the news, he was detained and questioned at the EWR airport. He says it wasn’t the security where he was detained (which was understood if it had happened) but it was the immigration check where he was detained and they said it was because of his last name. Well when will this discrimination come to an end? Is this the first time a Khan has travelled to the US? infact the joke of the entire episode is the SRK’s movie ”My Name is Khan” is shot entirely in NYC. Some people said he blew it to gain publicity… well people, SRK needs no publicity.. atleast not in such a cheap way! trust me on that!
Well thats about it.. to put an end to this post.. let me say .. and you may want to note that, I appreciate the security and alertness the US shows after the 9/11 attack and frankly speaking I personally believe the US has more value for life than any other place I have seen. But my whole point here is treat everyone equally. If you expect royal treatment then learn to give it too.
Bottom line, what i feel is we do not need any such law where VIPs can get away with security checks. Just let the law be same for all and we will never have any controversies.
On a lighter note: DON ki talaash 11 mulk ki police kar rahi thi.. jab DON ko pakad liya toh DON rone lag gaya.. not fair… not fair… cheating!

a series of things have happened..
this year began with a real exciting chapter in my life.. which seems to have ended even before it could establish its importance. well dont get confused… may be ill try to explain that some time later in a seperate post.
this week i accidently spilled water on my office laptop and next, it refused to start. i was shitty scared. after keeping it off for about 2 hours luckily it regained its senses… well a BIG sigh! but there seems to be some irritating problem with it.. seems like its picked up some bad habit from some of the other laptops on the client network it connects to the network but after about 10-15 mins it drops the connection with the only solution being reboot.. and if you can then imagine rebooting after every 15 mins … PAIN.. yes.. indeed.. hope the helpdesk are able to mend the laptop.
also mom gone on some educational trip to nepal.. didn’t speak to her before she left… my sis seems to be getting bored at home.. she scrapped the other day saying everybody is in different country.. i want to go to france to see all the monuments i learnt in my french text books.. send me tickets now.. lolzzzz.. :) that was cute
IPL goin on: there was a time when i was crazy for cricket.. it was more than just a game.. things have changed so much. it no longer seems to interest me. some of my old friends would be shocked if i tell them i am not following this year’s IPL. haha..
And yipee… shona finally got married.. she just uploaded her snaps.. m so happy for her.. the first one to get married in our so called ghat-dost-friend-circle.. .. lets see whats in store for all of us..
